Only a few more weeks left! I feel so slack that I haven't posted any new info... but time is unfortunately something I seem to have very little of!

I want to mention what a pleasure this show has been, from the artists to the fans - everyone has been especially wonderful to deal with.

There is still quite a bit of really special artwork from this show available for sale. Can't believe the Woogie hasn't sold! It is so wonderfully made and practical! There has to be a Star Wars fan out there that needs to be cuddly warm on a cold night! :-)

After much work and preparation on our part (and the part of the artists themselves) Stitch Wars is finally up, on display and ready for your enjoyment! :-) I have to say that I myself am EXHAUSTED and a little worried that Comicon is next week too!

My head is spinning, these past few weeks have just been a blur. Time to take a deep breath and get ready for some more exhausting fun in San Diego! Tate and I will be attending the con for business and fun times. Bringing 5K Stitch Wars flyers to put out in the flyer room at Comicon, so if you're there grab one as a souvenir! :-)

Thank you to you all for your support and well wishes, it really means a lot to hear positive things about something you've work so hard to put together. It is appreciated.

The opening last night was a fantastic success, despite a really bad thunderstorm right at 7pm (not unusual in South Florida) we had a great turnout that was steady all night. We had a ton of Stormtroopers, a Tusken Raider, Boba and Jango Fett, plus more! Honestly, I was so busy I barely saw the 501st and didn't get a single picture with them - but I have heard that all the kids LOVED it and I'm sure I'll see bunches of pictures once I start going through the opening night photos (tomorrow I'll work on that). My husband Tate dressed up as Han Solo, which I think he's been looking for an excuse to do for a while. :-) Overall it was a fun, fun time with lots of smiling people and enjoyment.

If you're going to be in the South Florida area, be sure to stop by and see it in person... otherwise I hope my photos in the Flickr set are sufficient in letting you live vicariously! :-)

Hey there, Hi there!

Been busy, busy photographing all of the Stitch Wars artwork! I have to say that you are going to be excited when you see it all. :-) It is all really great, creative stuff. So much talent!

I am on target to at least have a Flickr preview up for you out of towners before the opening date, that way you can see everything and if something calls out to you, you can contact me directly to purchase. Everything WILL be in our online shop too, but that takes a bit of time to enter and I don't want to over-promise! Next week is going to be high gear, crazy busy for me! :-)

Looking forward myself to seeing how it all sets up in our gallery, it is always so fun to stand back and take a look once all the work is completed!

Just a lil update note...

Obviously, this blog has NOT been updated in a month!

That's because we've been busy! :-) Our store was nominated for an Eisner "Spirit of Comics Retailing" award and preparing the documentation for that has sucked up a lot of time the last few weeks! We find out at Comicon next month if we won! Fingers crossed... ;-)

I don't want to give too much away ahead of time - but I can tell you that we've gotten in a small amount of the work for this show and it is AMAZING. Now, I'm talking about stuff that you haven't seen - stuff that has not been posted online yet. There will be surprises still! :-) It is coming up quick, quicker than I can believe. Looking forward to seeing how the whole thing turns out myself. SO, hang in there Stitch Wars fans, it will be worth the wait! ...and if you signed up for our email list you will be notified when it is online! Don't worry! :-) -Amanda
